10/24 United Nations Day is the anniversary of the founding of the United Nations in 1945. Today is a great day to think about how the U.N. is helping to build a better world.

10/25 Fall Festival at Kangaroo Kids.  Put on your costume and come join the fun.  Visit the pumpkin display, pick up goodies at our Trunk or treat, make a fall craft or visit our bounce house.  The only admission is a can of food for the food bank.

10/31 Today is Halloween, but did you know that it is also National Knock Knock Joke Day?? Do you have a knock knock joke to share?

10/1 On National Homemade Cookie Day, bake with your children! Do you have a favorite cookie recipe that has been in your family for generations? This would be an enjoyable day to bake it. Here is an easy recipe for Brown Sugar Butter Cookies!

10/4 I’ve heard of Taco Tuesday’s, but not National Taco Day! There is a remarkable thing about Taco’s, you can make it in any way you would like to! Like this great recipe for a Walking Taco! I’ve never tried it, what would you add to make it your own?

10/12 Farmers do a lot of work to make their farms run and produce fruit, vegetables, dairy and meat. It takes a lot of time, effort and challenging work! Here is an activity to learn how to milk a cow and hone those fine motor skills children need to develop. All you need is a rubber glove, water, a pitcher and fine needle.

10/13 If you have the opportunity, to visit a Navy ship (especially on today, U.S. Navy Day) take a local trip to visit the Battleship New Jersey in Camden, NJ!

10/21 Today is Reptile Awareness Day! Why not take a trip to enjoy the Reptiles at your local zoo or at Rizzo’s Wildlife World? Contact them before you go to make sure they are open, you can also find out where they will have a traveling reptile show!

10/31 Instead of saying Trick or Treat, why not offer up a Knock Knock joke when you go out for trick or treating? Knock Knock! Who’s there? Cargo, Cargo Who? Cargo Beep Beep!

Tell your kids these Knock Knock jokes or have them make up their own!
